The Stadium at a Glance

Herbert-Dröse-Stadium is one of the most historic sports venues in the state of Hesse. With a capacity of 16,000, it offers ideal conditions for hosting international events.
The large grass field, track and field facilities, and multiple auxiliary areas ensure a smooth flow of both the IGP dog sport competitions and the conformation show.

Opened in 1951 and centrally located in Hanau-Wilhelmsbad, the stadium is easily accessible by car and public transport. Ample parking is also available for participants and guests.

Information for Participants of the WUSV World Championship Universal 2025

To ensure smooth operations during the event, all handlers are kindly asked to familiarize themselves with the layout and routes at Herbert Dröse Stadium. Below you’ll find an overview of the different areas and disciplines.

🐾 Access & Preparation

Dog handler entry is only via the "HF" gate on the east side of the stadium (to the right of the main field).
The preparation area for Obedience and Protection is located directly next to this entrance.
Exit for dog handlers is on the west side of the stadium.
Spectators must use the designated and marked entrance – please follow the signs.

📋 Discipline: Obedience (UO)

The starting point is located in the southeastern curve of the stadium (bottom right).
The routine runs clockwise – from the start, along the demonstration route, past the stands to the exit area.
Drop-off zones for males and females are clearly marked and accessible.
Please follow the marked path and pay attention to all staff instructions.

🛡️ Discipline: Protection Work (SD)

Entry and preparation are the same as for Obedience.
The starting point is in the lower right area of the stadium.
The first blind search begins on the left side, starting with the outermost blind.
All blinds are clearly marked – the “bark and hold” exercise takes place at the sixth blind on the right side, near the exit.
After the protection routine, the exit is again via the west side of the stadium.

👁️ Conformation Show (Schau)

The breeding show always takes place on the upper lawn north of the stadium
This area is clearly marked and located next to the festival tent and industrial exhibit.
Further details about the schedule will be announced by the ring steward on the day of the event.

🅿️ Parking & Infrastructure

Handler Parking: Located south of the stadium in a shaded area with trees, directly near the "HF" entrance. Please note: This parking lot is reserved exclusively for handlers with dogs and will be monitored by the event organizers. Fresh water for the dogs will be provided here.
Helper Pavilion: Located on the left side of the stadium grounds, close to the HF exit.
The pavilion serves as a central meeting point and supply station for helpers involved in protection work.
hanging Rooms & Restrooms: Located inside the stadium building and available to both handlers and helpers. Please follow the posted signs on site.
